Endermologie Cellulite Treatment

by admin

If you have been investigating the cellulite treatments offered in beauty clinics, chances are you have been offered sessions on a machine called Endermologie. This is one of the most popular commercial cellulite machines found in beauty centers and is the main method used by celebrities and models in Hollywood. It is a non-invasive system that is designed to reduce cellulite and improve skin tone without pain or side effects.

Endermologie was developed in the late 1980s in France and was originally designed to treat scars suffered by burns victims. It was quickly noticed that the machine was having an unintended side-effect – the patient’s cellulite was being reduced. In 1996, the machine received FDA approval to treat cellulite. Today, Endermologie is an effective cellulite treatment that is used in over 100 countries around the world and over 100,000 women are treated everyday. It is manufactured by the French company LPG.

How Does It Work?

Both painless and non-invasive, Endermologie utilizes a vacuum pump to gently bring the skin upwards between two motorized rollers. The fold of skin is gently kneaded by the rollers. The suction level and the mechanical rollers are automatically adjusted to the thickness of the client’s skin. This means that as the treatment sessions progress and the skin becomes more elastic and supple, the roller can reach even deeper layers for progressive results.

The pressure of the rolling and the suction help stretch the skin and redistribute the fat underneath the surface. As the skin is stretched, the collagen and elastin process is stimulated for improved skin tone. It also boosts circulation so that fresh blood and oxygen flood to the area leading to drain away toxins and waste products trapped in the lymphatic system.

Treatment Costs and Frequencies

An Endermologie session will cost you around $90, will last 30 to 40 minutes and will need to be done once or twice weekly. Most women will require anywhere between 14 and 28 sessions. The average cost for a full course of treatment sessions is about $1,200.

Once you have achieved a level of results that you are happy with, you will need to continue maintenance sessions at a rate of 1 per month.
